Upcoming Events: Attention Seniors

Turn in Chromebooks and charger ($35 to Mrs. Spletzer if you know you lost your charger). In June, you will lose access to your LPSLancer Google account (Drive, Gmail, etc.). If you want to save your materials, you must follow these instructions.
- Last day of classes for Seniors.
- Honor’s Night (7:00pm – invitation only, meet at 6:45pm – backstage Auditorium – formal attire is required).
- Return Award/Scholarship forms to Mrs. Spletzer.
Final Exams (8-12pm – LGI)

Classes must be 100% complete by May 30th – if the classes are not complete, and/or graduation requirements are not met, no participation in rehearsal and commencement.
- 9:00am – Graduation Rehearsal (required) – Auditorium (Auditorium doors unlock at 8:30am) If you are not in attendance at graduation rehearsal, you will not walk/participate in graduation. All fines must be paid before receiving diploma. Following graduation rehearsal, pick up tickets for commencement – four per student.
- 11:00am – Senior Cookout – patio outside of the cafeteria, following graduation rehearsal.
- 12:15pm – meet at Hollywood, Roosevelt, or Stewart (only one) visit – bring your cap and gown.
- 4:30pm – Senior Dinner Cruise – 4:30 pm (load buses), 5:00pm (buses depart) meet at high school main entrance.
Graduation – 3:00pm (Al Stockman Stadium).

The 8th Annual Adam Tilly Memorial Golf Outing will be held on June 10th, 2017 at Lake Michigan Hills.

Lakeshore Athletic Summer Camps – Register Today!
The purpose of the Lakeshore Lancer athletic camps is to involve as many young students in athletics as possible. The goal is to foster a love and interest in the various sports that students may compete in during their high school years.
The main focus will be on teaching technique and various skills while developing sportsmanship, teamwork, and the value of hard work that may be applied in all areas of their lives. This year there will be summer camps for basketball, football, softball, volleyball, soccer, and tennis.

New STEM Courses and Project Lead the Way
Project Lead the Way (PLTW) is a nationally recognized Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) curriculum. The PLTW curriculum features an engaging, hands-on classroom environment and empowers students to develop in-demand knowledge and skills they need to thrive. STEM careers are the fastest growing career pathways in the United States.
Please read and consider LHS’ new STEM classes that use the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) curriculum and program design. This year we’ve introduced two new courses that begin a pathway in Engineering and Computer Science. Attached to this message is a flyer describing the program and the classes.
