While students and staff were recharging, work continued at Lakeshore High School! Over break, new metal panels were installed over deteriorating concrete sections of the building. This important upgrade helps ensure a strong, weather-resistant building envelope to protect our school for years to come. We’re excited about the progress and proud to invest in keeping our facilities safe and sound.

We want to give a huge shout out to our amazing Assistant Principals, Mr. Vota and Mr. Keethly, and our Dean of Students, Mr. Thompson, in celebration of National Assistant Principals and Dean Week! Thank you for your dedication, leadership, and commitment to making our school a better place. We are lucky to have such a strong team supporting our students and staff every day!

Yesterday, our Math & Science Center freshmen showcased their incredible research projects at the Berrien County Science Fair! After three months of dedication, they presented their methods, data analysis, and conclusions to community members.
Next up, some students will take their research even further at the Michigan High School Science Symposium in April. We’re so proud of their hard work and curiosity — way to go, Lancers!

Congratulations to the ten Lakeshore Middle School Band Members who represented Lakeshore by participating in the MSBOA District 6 Middle School Honors Band event on March 24th at Andrews University's Howard Performing Arts Center. Students' music literacy skills were put on display because all ten students prepared their parts on their own prior to the event. The event consisted of six hours of rehearsal time and an hour-long concert, which means that the honors bands were able to put together all of that music in just one day! 7th Grade students got to work with award-winning clinician, Tavia Zerman, and 8th Grade students got to work with award-winning clinician, Matthew Shephard.

Yesterday, students from Mrs. DeVries' Allied Health class brought hands-on fun to the Bridgman Elementary 2nd Grade Career Fair! Partnering with our neighbors in Bridgman, they used CPR dummies to teach students the basics of hands-only CPR and give them a chance to practice life-saving skills. It's always great to see our students engaging with the community and building connections with other districts. We’re not sure who had more fun — the high schoolers or the 2nd graders!

What a great day at Lakeshore High School! Our Key Club had the honor of hosting our sponsoring Kiwanis Club for their weekly meeting. Lunch was served in the LEF, and our club officers shared highlights from this year's service projects.
We were also joined by our Division LTG Governor, a proud Lakeshore sophomore, along with the 17 students running for a spot on next year's executive board. It was a wonderful celebration of service and leadership!
