Exciting News for Lakeshore High School! We are proud to announce that the Lakeshore High School Automotive Program has received national accreditation from the ASE Education Foundation! This prestigious recognition highlights the program's excellence in Maintenance and Light Repair and reflects the dedication of our team to provide top-tier automotive education. "This is great news for automotive-minded young people and their parents," said Michael Coley, ASE Education Foundation President. "Lakeshore’s graduates will be employable entry-level technicians, benefiting both the workforce and the motoring public." Automotive Instructor Doug Haygood shared, "We’ve worked hard to meet the industry’s rigorous standards, and now our students can confidently pursue their passion with a quality education." Now in its sixth year, this prestigious award recognizes 1,436 public high schools nationwide that excel at helping students not only enroll in college but also succeed once they get there. We’re excited to share that U.S. News & World Report has just released its 2025 Best Elementary and Middle Schools rankings, and we’re thrilled to announce that Hollywood Elementary, Roosevelt Elementary, Stewart Elementary, and Lakeshore Middle School have all earned this prestigious honor! These rankings are based on data from the U.S. Department of Education, and they offer parents a great way to see how schools are helping students succeed. This recognition is a true testament to the hard work and collaboration of our amazing staff, students, and the entire Lakeshore community!

Good luck to the Lakeshore High School Marching Band as they compete in the MCBA State Finals this Saturday, November 2, at Ford Field in Detroit! Our division (Flight 4) kicks off at 5:05 PM, with Lakeshore taking the stage at 7:11 PM. We’re proud to be going into this event ranked first after an impressive showing at the State Prelims! It's that time of year! Our 10th-grade students at Lakeshore High School have been exploring the fascinating world of inventors and top contributors to the scientific community. As a culminating activity, they've created memorials for these remarkable individuals, adding a spooky twist to the landscape of LHS this Halloween!
